Extend the 2nd riser of this aluminum light stand to its maximum, press a lever and you have a stand with a two sections boom arm. When used as a boom stand, it is strong enough for a small light fixture with a small soft box or umbrella. Locking collars allow mounting of the boom arm to a heavy duty stand (Sold Separately). It permits tilt, swing, and swivel. At the end of the arm, an optional counterweight can be hung, for greater stability. Working with the sandbag or weight, allows you to easily control the counterweight and better stabilize your lighting setup.
